Question Subversion Help

Hey,

I have been trying to set up SVN on my VPS using CPanel/WHM and CentOS. I have been using a tutorial here:

http://alexle.net/archives/138

Before you laugh at me and say noob, I do realise this is a guide for Plesk but the first half is panel independant. The trouble im having is in section D of this tutorial as it then goes on to mention /var/www/vhost which doesnt seem to exist on my server. Can I just create the folders?

Also
During this process I seem to have broken something... I got this server trial yesterday, used it for the first time today and other than basic setup the ONLY things I have done is create an account, add a subdomain and follow the steps you see on that page, A) & B).

http://83.98.156.223/~te1stco/

As you can see, it times out. I do not know if this is subversion related or something else. Either way... help!

Hello,

Please open a ticket with support (as your login details are needed) and they will assist you. I can tell just by looking that 83.98.156.223 is not your IP address ;-)

I have one of your team setting up SVN for me now, bloody good of them!

However this may well be a separate incident then. 83.98.156.223 was the IP shown next to the account I made and it took my to the link http://83.98.156.223/~styledna when I clicked it. This times out, but when I changed the IP for that account to the 2nd of the two IP's provided for me with my account it works fine.

http://83.98.156.87 responds perfectly and my other test account on the shared one doesnt. Odd eh?

Ok I think I have it. You get two IP's one is for shared sites, the other is for a single site?

I have set one site to 83.98.156.87 and now no others can be set onto that, however they can all be set to 83.98.156.86 and work ok. I have a few things to learn I think :$

Hi Phil,

You do have quite a unique setup so I'm not surprised if there are a few things different from what you are used to. I'm glad super Samuel managed to fix your issues though.

Wow, you managed to get it installed on a CPanel install. When I tried that it failed miserably and I had to switch to Plesk.

In answer to your PM which I only just picked up, I simply used the trac package from the DAG repo which installed trac and subversion together to save me a headache.
