Default Question on AUP

Hey, I was wondering if you could clarify what this line means in the AUP.

"The running of IRC Servers linked to other IRC networks."
Does that mean I can run an IRC server on my server providing it doesn't connect to another IRC network?

That is indeed correct.

So can we run IRC bots as well providing they only connect to our server?

That is also correct, as long as the IRC services do not connect to external networks there's no problem.

The reason we have this rule is because connecting to external network can potentially invoke greater risks of getting DoS attacks, but that wouldn't apply if the IRC services are not connected externally.
