Question nameservers

I have just opened a new vps account.

Should I be using the ns1.solidhost.com and ns2.solidhost.com nameservers or should I be using my own?

I don't really want my server doing tasks it doesn't need to do if I can help it.

By having my own, it also means a single point of failure.

Hello,

You will need to use your own nameservers. You can request support to configure this for you. Don't worry, almost all of our clients have the same setup, without problems.

Thanks John,

I think I've managed it then. I've got a ticket in for initial security and have asked if they can have a quick look over the DNS too.
