Default PHP5 and MySQL5

Hello
Do you plan to upgrade PHP and MySQL?
I am about to start coding a new web application, so I need to know that.

Thank you!

Hi,

We are planning to upgrade to PHP5 but we haven't decided when yet. Currently we are waiting for things to be more stable first, and to see whether this won't cause problems for our customers.

Once we are ready to make the change all customers will receive a 2 week notification. I expect it will take at least one month before this will happen, possibly longer, depending on the circumstances.

I have a php app that some of my customers use. It's not too complex but I sure would like a way to test it before upgrading. One customer that uses my program has about 70 customers that link to their PHP app. Any suggestions for testing under php5?

Icoso.

Default Testing for PHP5 compatibility

Yes!

There is an excelent PHP editor and debugger named Zend Development Enviroment.
http://www.zend.com/

You can open the files there as PHP5 and click the "Analyze Code" button. This will show you messages about depreciated instructions, warnings, errors, etc.
