Default php sleep causes load?

Hi,
I found a php script / cpanel hack that backups all dbs of all accounts of a reseller.

This script can use sleep to let 'space' for other users.

My question is : does sleep causes any load? Is it ok to use this script on server's side (not in my pc as it is unsecure passing my reseller pass on url)?

The source of the script is here

Thank you
Antonis

Thank you for your contribution, that looks interesting.

Sleep does cause a littlebit of load, but that's just so little it's hardly worth mentioning (providing that we are talking about just one instance of the script, thousands of them would be a different story). It shouldn't be a problem to use this on server side.

Default Hi,

I have a "generate website" command, that parses through all the tables to republish an entire website into fixed html pages. That's a heavy process, at least on my local machine (the CPU rises up).
