Exclamation DNS Question

I am trying to change the name servers with my registrar (godaddy.com), but I got an error, in the setup mail I received this:

Your IP addresses: 65.254.XX.XX4 - 65.254.XX.XX5

Your nameservers: ns1.mydomain.net (65.254.XX.XX4 )

ns2.mydomain.net (65.254.XX.XX5)

I try to put my name servers but I get:

∑ Unavailable error in field Host name1

∑ Unavailable error in field Host name2

I donít know what do I have to do. Should I configure the name servers to ns1.solidhost.com and ns2.solidhost.com?

Dear Sir,

You had submitted a support ticket about this too, and we replied to this already. Nevertheless, I'll explain again what's the solution so everyone else knows what to do as well.

Before you can add these nameservers to your domains, you first have to actually register the nameservers with the IPs that are displayed above. In Godaddy, you can do this as follows:

- First login to Godaddy's system
- Go to Domain names -> Manage domains
- Go to your domain
- Go to Domain Host Summary on the lower right
- Go to "Click here to see or to modify"

Now you'll see a small form in the lower right corner. In there add ns1 (your domain should be displayed to the right of that), and below that enter the IP address that we've given you. You would have to do exactly the same for ns2.

Once that is done, you can add the nameservers to your domain.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

You're right, that question was submitted to support, but before that, i search here for this topic, that's why i post here the same question. The answer comes fast and very clear. Thank you so much.
