Default FTP login problem: refusing password

Question: On a cPanel system, when I am trying to login to FTP, the server is refusing my password. However I am sure that my user/password combination is correct.

Answer: When logging in to the FTP server, please make sure to use this format: username@domain.com rather than just your username.

Note: The reason that you have to use this format is that you can create multiple users in cPanel. It's possible that two users on the same server would create the FTP username "ftp". In order to make sure this doesn't cause complications, each user would have a different login name: ftp@domain1.com or ftp@domain2.com.
