Default UK NIC doesn't seem to recognise nameservers

My domain cumfybumfy.co.uk is hosted on solidrack servers via a uk reseller

my ip address is

Something has happened in the last few hours and now my domain name doesn't work for web, ftp or mail... I checked whois and my entry says this:

Name servers listed in order:

ns3.solidrack.com (unable to validate IP)

ns4.solidrack.com (unable to validate IP)

I tried via my registering agent to set the nameservers again (in case I had got it wrong) and I got this error

Warning: ns3.solidrack.com may not exist.

Warning: ns4.solidrack.com may not exist.

Setting nameservers to ns3.solidrack.com and ns4.solidrack.com

Please wait...

Thank you - modification has been submitted to Nominet UK. Changes should take effect within 24/48 hours.

Its almost like 123-reg.co.uk and nominet don't know the ip addresses of your name servers?

As its 1.20am here my hosting provider is not available to help me - can you?

Please note that you should contact your hosting provider (one of our resellers) for this kind of information.

During this night we have been doing some maintenance on our primairy DNS server. Your hosting provider is only using our nameservers temporary, they were supposed to have started to use their own already. ns3.solidrack.com and ns4.solidrack.com were indeed offline for some time during the night, as we were relocating them. None of the SolidRack customers are using these nameservers, which is why they have been down a little longer than the other nameservers (which have only been down for a few seconds).

By now these nameservers should have been working again for a couple of hours.
